Justin Bieber has more talent than Kesha, Soulja Boy, and Miley Cyrus. You don’t have to like someone’s music to know that. You can call Kobe a rapist all you want but he’s still the best in the game. Point. Blank. Period.
this post isn’t to bash religion or people who are religious, it is simply my thoughts, off the top of the dome, just what I’m thinkin at the time
there’s a lot of argument over whether or not religion as a whole is good or bad for society. Throughout history, millions of lives have been lost due belief in God. Entire religious groups are HATED ON and wars have been started in the name of God. The good in any religion can never outweigh the loss of these human lives.
ok that’s on a macro level; what about religion on an individual’s day to day basis. OK, if belief in God means you behave like a good Sumaritan, that’s fine. But keep in mind that person may only be doing “good” acts in order to get the reward at the end of the road… aka heaven. So we must ask ourselves.. if the intention behind being good is to get a reward, is that act of kindness a direct result of GOOD or GREED?
see, religion or not, I know that stealing, killing, raping, etc are morally WRONG. I don’t need religion to tell me that. I don’t need Christianity to tell me not to bully other kids on the playground, I don’t need Buddhism or Islam to tell me that stealing someone else’s iPod at a house party is wrong. I don’t need religion to lend $50 to a farmer in Peru so he can start his own business.
in fact, how can one consider a religion such as Islam, one that most definitely treats women like rocks, acceptable? anyhoo.. that’s another topic
and Christianity? Catholic, Orthodox, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, HOVA’S WITNESSES… wtf?? these groups are there to take your cash. The only HOVA imma witness is Jay-Z. real talk
just live your life. be happy. be good to others. be open to trying new things. take care of the planet. after our time here on this beautiful earth, if such a God exists and is good, then he/she will know what to do, whether you believed or not.
